GeopoliticsThis is a featured page

Geopolitics is the study of political dynamics as influenced by a nation's geography, resources, society and culture. First developed as an area of academic study in the early 20th century, the birth of geopolitics is often credited to Swedish political scientist Rudolf Kjellén. Despite initially being viewed with some scepticism, modern geopolitics has developed into a massively profitable subject.

In this section of the Garland InfoCorp Public Access Library, you will find geopolitical data covering the majority of the world's nations, as well as some information concerning the Off-World Colonies. Each nation (or colony) is described in some detail, including information about the nation's social and poltical history, current political structure, culture distinctions and geography.

To learn more about the nations of the Earth, and the scattered colonies elsewhere in the solar system simply choose one of the following groups:

Africa
America
Arab States
Australasia
European Union (EU)
Off-World Colonies
Pacific Rim
Sino-Russia (SiRu)
